Malaya Sir is one of the most phenomenal teachers I’ve come across. His enthusiasm and energy in class are what make his classes both entertaining and riveting. The personal relations you build with him both inside and outside the class is what makes the teacher-student relationship even more precious. Malay Sir keeps an immaculate record of progress of each and every one of his students (a feat that kept astounding us when we attended his classes!), and always made it a point to help us out when we needed it. I’m proud to say that with the knowledge of Maths and Physics that I took from Malay sir, I’ve never had trouble grasping concepts well into my college studies. I remember one thing that he always told us: “I’m teaching you not to make you fit to appear for competitive exams, but to make better students out of you, who are capable of independent thought – something that you should strive for yourselves.” That’s something that I’ve always tried to abide by, and has helped me more than I could have imagined.
